The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 光影真的很棒，整部电影的画面都是喜欢的色调，很细腻，剪辑细节处理得也很好。意识到自己的秘密被公开、“被出柜”的时候沉默着流泪，迎着人群下楼梯那段，很心疼。
很好看也走心的类型片，完成度蛮高的，视听上一点不马虎，虽然剧本明显有一个套路，但拍的确实牵动人心，主要是节奏掌控很不错。这个剧本底子总想起《热天午后》，最后结尾想起《虎豹小霸王》。
释放曼德拉是男主灵机一动，绝境之中的提议，彰显了历史的随机偶然性。
虽然是基于真实事件，但剧情起码有一半是编的（不懂司法部女儿这个角色的存在是为啥，略煽情做作）。不过历史上Silverton trio的确点燃了释放曼德拉的星星之火。为自由而战的故事永远让人动容。

和真实事件相差挺大的，加入太多刻意煽情的元素，呈现出来的观感并不令人满意。
很好的讲述了一个高中生对自己性向的不认同。对一个十几岁的孩子来讲，发现自己是所谓的另类，那种纠结的心情。旁观者，其实永远都是事不关己，这种微妙的心态，真的描述的很好。
结尾很奇妙的升华了主题，爱真的是美好的不分性别的情感。遗憾，谎言，背叛，又或是死亡，好青春啊。

或许白左们今天来谈南非现状颇为讽刺，但是这部电影真正关注的并不是历史与政治本身，而是自由与平等的诠释！是的，自由可以用用一切来换取，包括生命。自由也绝非妥协与忍让得来，反抗与牺牲是自古以来换得自由与平等的第一步！
故事的张力很大……可惜我看的时候很累，有点犯困
人质中说自己有“黑人情结”的白人女性其实是得了白化病的黑人女性啦
无论他或她喜欢的是什么，也无论是你还是我，我们都只是出于对爱的渴望，我们没有犯错，我们就是这样的我们。
