The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 单单是这种one's life story can be told的感觉就是近几年久违的了，唯二两部似乎就是这部和《法比安》，结尾的水也跟《法比安》不谋而合。巴尔扎克的底子在那里，节奏掌握好就不会差，不过相比之下预告和海报的感觉莫名浅显，可能会流失潜在观众。算是朝着现代狂奔的法国影业少有的优秀古装片。(P.S.虽说多兰做导演是为了演戏，但现在再看他演戏：这就是多兰自己嘛这也太出戏了...
FR144 à UGC Les halles. 改编有点大。电影呈现感觉有些后劲不足。
古典文学作品改编，这段19世纪乡村文学青年在巴黎贵族圈的沉浮史，不仅精准还原了那个时代欧洲腐朽名利场的风貌，还被赋予足以震撼当下的意义。
我真没想到会被这么古（老）典（旧）的叙事感染到，一些地方值得细品。

为啥我脑补了一出多兰侯爵夫人利用他人脉资源给夏东导演拍这部戏的画面呢？毕竟才华这玩意儿，要靠贵族血统砸，也要靠全场最高价砸。
好多熟面孔，包括été 85的男主。故事没有太多新意，但相关的历史背景还是蛮有意思的。
影片投资超1870万欧元，这女角也太水了吧。。。
