The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 剧情中规中矩，从M6暂时变成了M5，也算是对应G5，不过还有一位会不会是电影里被忽略的海马，也比较希望是独角兽，只有一只不够对称，最后天角兽加上两只天马就多了。
PTA的怀旧之作，浓浓的70年代风，配乐剪辑很棒，选角很真实。
明亮当中有一丝孱弱，纯真里又带着猥琐，整个就是怪鸡到不行，后半程终于松快了起来，可能是作为观众慢慢接受了这个creepy的视角（？），好几场戏的调度都可圈可点，利落准确，还有就是音乐太好听，无论是影像或声音，复古都是大势啊，接下来会循环原声碟一百遍。
我很不满意
年末上的片子都很怀旧啊。基本是导演自己在怀念自己的成长经历吗？一部回忆七十年代的青春电影，把石油危机年代的美国经济、政治、文化氛围很轻松地呈现出来。虽然离自己的经历太远没法感受那种轻松无束的成长的感觉，但拍得还是很好的，传递了那种欢乐的积极的情绪，故事完整可靠，中间几个样板人物（比如007）也很好玩。男女主实在太青春太美了，不是职业演员所以倒真的很自然。无论是笑还是哭，发传单还是勾搭异性，脸上都写着：“未来属于我们。”
如果我说没看懂剧情会显得我很笨蛋么….每次感觉自己懂了，时间线好像又飘走了。但镜头语言很出彩，画面调色很对我胃口，如不考虑剧情的合理性是非常值得一看的。
可真是太私人了，私心多到琐碎，故事剪成饺子馅，一开始我觉得，这是一个关于抓不住的青春，以及等不到的成年的深沉故事，但最终这些东西都被乱七八糟的私人情感擦去，还真就只是一个爱情故事，当然有些地方还是佳句频出，让人不禁沉浸在往日时光中，或许PTA他就是一个只会拍过去的人。
动画不错，但剧情方面只能说太方便了，过于草率，越后面越草率；结局的氛围倒是有点G4那味。主角团的性格很鲜明也颇讨喜，同时曲风方面更丰富了，歌很多都不错。陆马作为相对缺乏特色的一族一直显得弱势，但从彩蛋上看，或许未来能有所改变——有友谊就有魔法！总体上，作为新世代的开始，本部电影当然远称不上理想，但也不算很令人失望，毕竟是子供向嘛……
'Soggy Bottom' sounds like someone shit their pants.
PTA，一个大家都说好但我get不到的导演，他作品里的爱情生活味太浓了，我根本感受不到爱情。感觉更多的篇幅是在写“青春”吧！
时间浓缩版，或者说年代限定版《当哈利遇到莎莉》，就只能寻找一些微妙的趣味了。大龄童星和保守人家女儿带你游旧花园，临了告诉你不成功还可以成家呀，不成功只是因为这个时代注定不成功嘛～
CG化让这些角色更萌了，毛茸茸的非常可爱！低幼的情节比较好理解，丰富鲜艳的画面让大人看着也不无聊。唯一问题是，女主角爸爸的消失让男娃小宝宝困惑了好久：它们怎么都没有爸爸呢？始终觉得是更适合女孩看的动画，我这个大女孩就看得很开心啊！加上各种歌唱舞蹈，低幼小马团体舞台剧，华丽啊～～
sunny和izzy可爱到我鸡叫，有点期待furry的娃娃梳毛玩具惹！

可可爱爱，有明确的主题，剧情完整，很不错的励志型低幼动画！歌也都不错听
人物恍神的状态描绘得真好，Alana奇迹大倒车然后蹲坐在路边看着欢庆的男孩们一段尤其。没有一个角色出场是不“满”的，在短暂的一场中用最饱胀的形象来impress观众。PTA先前对漫威的评价与这部电影里体现出的导演意识一脉相承：银幕观影的愉悦，观看不属于现实的运动感、色彩、力量的纯粹的愉悦，观看爱情故事的男女主跑着跑着就会相遇相遇了还不够还要相撞的愉悦——我们需要这些，电影需要愿意为了这些再次走进影院的观众。
3.5星，我喜欢的导演们最近拍的片怎么都有点无聊啊难搞。
加上一个个事件折射出七十年代的美国一些危机
快看睡了，复古怀旧一个点都没get到，非常无聊的美国奔跑爱情梦。有多期待就有多失望，没打一星是因为勉为其难没睡着。
